In less than a week, we will be going to the polls again here in Pennsylvania. Although this primary lacks the national interest of last year’s Presidential primary, it remains nevertheless important to local politics.
I thought I would take a moment here to highlight my two small contributions thus far to the local political debate:
- A letter the editor of the Centre Daily Times in support of my friend, neighbor and Penn State colleague, Jim Leous, who is running for a position on the school board for the State College Area School District.
- A blog post on WPSU.org about the importance of investing in education and my concern that a number of the candidates running for school board are running in order to minimize taxes rather than ensuring that we have a state of the arts school district.
